Hello everyone.. Food is on my mind, so I figured instead of ordering Jimmy Johns that can be to my house in 7.5 minutes... I would make some #Vegan snacks!
Here are 3 GO TO snacks for vegans or friends of people with dairy allergies!

~ 5 Min Food Coma ~
5-6 pieces of french bread ( pre-cut at Yoke's..)
1-2 small avocados
( Mashed with salt and pepper)
& Add drops of lemon juice to keep the mashed avocados fresh extra longer
1-2 medium tomatoes cut in slices that you will add on top of the toasted french bread that has the avocado spread on it.
~Refreshing Breakfast Blend~
1 Banana ( Frozen will make the smoothie thicker)
1 Scoop of Vegan / Non-Vegan protein powder ( Or recommended amount)
1 handful of loose spinach leaves
1 full lemon squeezed
8-10 oz of almond milk
I like to add fiber powder or a greens powder to my smoothies or oat meal to make it more of a yogurt over granola. I like to make Lau's with some sort of vegan fat AKA avocado!
Blend all together and fuel your body with the energy it needs to perform your daily tasks.
~Humus & Cucumber~
When we are on a time line and need some quick food we resort to.....
9 Grain toasted bread
Humus spread ( Store bought...although if you know of a good recipe please pop it in the comments below!)
Pesto
Pre cut small English cucumbers
1 tomato cut in slices
When the bread is toasted spread the toppings over, layer with veggies and head out the door. Another option is to put a piece of bread over the top for a closed sandwich.
I have learned that basic ingredients create happiness throughout the body. I feel energized when I am finished eating these snacks.
An example of a snack I used to eat when I would ignore my allergy and just take medicine to decrease the side effects is Wheat thins with cream cheese, or a hot dog with ketchup and a butter bun. Oh and the one we never want to actually admit.. top ramen... YUCK!
Having these snacks in very very light moderation for my lifestyle helps me not miss them too much, but now think more about nourishment over pleasure.
I hope this helps you think of useful snacks to prepare and keep handy for days when cooking a full vegan/ non- vegan meal is unrealistic.
Blessings,
Brianna & Lau
